When I look at you, I feel, certain of something.
Arachne (“Spider”) is one of my favourite mythological characters ever :D And she wasn’t a goddess or a nymph, she was a mortal woman!
Arachne was an amazing weaver who someday went so far as to say she was even better than Athena. Wrong, girl, that’s not the way with the Olympic gods! Athena was offended and set a contest between them. There are two stories about what happened next:
1- Arachne won the contest because she was awesome AND Athena got mad AND, plus, Arachne made a tapestry about the loves, lies and all the dirty affairs of the gods, so it was even worse (Arachne was a rebel, yeah), and Athena got even MORE MAD AT HER. And she slapped her and turned her into a spider.
2- Arachne lost and hanged herself. Athena took pity on her and turned her into a spider, so she could continue weaving.
I always loved how brave and haughty Arachne was ;)

ＭＡＬＥＦＩＣＥＮＴThe design for Maleficent's clothes occurred to Davis when he was looking through a book on Medieval art; one of the manuscript images featured a religious figure with long robes, the ends of which resembled flames. Davis incorporated this into Maleficent's final design. [x] Early designs feature Maleficent's signature dress in red instead of purple.

I knew [In The Flesh] was a beautiful, beautiful, original script. Beautifully written and it was very original and different from anything else., I knew that. But I didn’t quite expect the following it would gain around the world and stuff. That’s totally mad and really exciting.
